Jin Jiang International Hotels, China’s largest and the world’s second-largest hotel group, has finally opened the much-anticipated J Hotel, dubbed as a hotel offering luxury in the sky.
Focusing on world-class design to appeal to an international jet setter market, J Hotel is set to become one of the world’s leading luxury hotels. Offering luxurious and personalized experiences for its guests, the overall design is a unique blend of Western and Eastern aesthetics.
J Hotel occupies the top floors of the Shanghai Tower, which is China’s tallest building, and the world’s second-tallest skyscraper, only coming next to Dubai’s Burj Khalifa. After dedicating 10 years to the masterful craft, opulent design, and detailed curation of J Hotel, and with delays brought on by the pandemic, China’s tallest hotel has finally opened its doors to guests with a penchant for impeccable taste.
The hotel features 165 rooms with 34 suites, with staterooms and suites located from the 86th to 98th floors. These rooms and suites range from 62 square meters to 380 square meters in space, boasting some of the highest and most spacious rooms in Shanghai. The most impressive is the 380-square meter Shanghai Suite, which features a parlor, a kitchen, a physiotherapy room, and a dedicated dressing room.
Each suite is situated on strategic areas of the building, each offering bird’s eye views of the beautiful Shanghai skyline and the nearby horizon, where the Shanghai Hongqiao Airport to the West meets the Yangtze River. Views of the nearby Bund, Oriental Pearl Tower, and the whole expanse of Shanghai are also viewed from the suites.
In terms of amenities, there are 7 restaurants in the hotel, with one located on the 120th floor. There’s also a 24-hour butler service, a spa with Reiki treatments, several bars, and a swimming pool on the 84th floor.
Bringing a unique perspective into luxury, J Hotel is not just another hotel that boasts of being in the tallest skyscraper in China or in the world. The developers have certainly thought about a genuine luxury experience with opulent features, such as toiletries by Hermes and Diptyque and bathtubs in the shape of magnolia flowers.
The intricate interiors merge artistic touches through the design in the palatial staterooms, and detailed furnishings and finishes truly represent the meaning of genuine luxury.
Dedicated to bringing forth the best in food, beverage, technology, and hospitality services to its guests, J Hotel provides exclusive travel experiences crafted with authentic Chinese flair merged with contemporary global sensibilities, for a truly unique Shanghai luxury accommodation experience.
