The Benchmark of Luxury: The Rolls Royce Phantom VIII is Launched in Southeast Asia

Rolls Royce, the world’s leading manufacturer of luxury cars, recently launched their latest and eighth generation of the Rolls Royce Phantom.  Its first ever Southeast Asian debut, the launch was held at the Marina Bay Esplanade Annexe Studio in late September, where a model of the Phantom VIII, in a beautiful Belladonna Purple hue, was on display.

Singapore’s who’s who and elite were in attendance, including executive chairman of Eurokars Group of Companies, Mr. Karsono Kwee, who iterated that Singapore is an important market for the brand of luxury cars since it is one of the city-states in Asia with a keen eye for luxury living, and has a high concentration of individuals who are highly successful.

Prior to the launch, hype regarding the 8th generation Rolls Royce Phantom had gained ground since its last edition was released 14 years ago in 2003.  The newest model is dubbed as the “benchmark of luxury,”  featuring the brand’s signature genuine handcrafted quality, and its reputation for having the most superior engineering quality in the industry.

Sales reports for Rolls Royce’s luxury sedans show a progressive increase in the past few years, with sales growth occurring in the Asia Pacific region.  Because of this, it is only fitting to see the latest Rolls Royce Phantom being presented in Southeast Asia for the very first time in history.

Aside from the Phantom VIII display, an intimate lounge was presented to guests and media, where the history of the Phantom was showcased, beginning from its inception in 1925 until the very latest edition.  An interactive showcase was presented, where guests could sample the indulgent materials used in the luxury car, and even configure their very own dream Phantom.

The revolutionary Phantom VIII sets the standard for all of Rolls Royce’s future line up of cars, through its latest technology called “Architecture of Luxury.” Underneath the sculpted leather and curated woods in the interior are all aluminum, creating a space frame that’s extraordinarily stiff yet light. This technology allows the driver and rider to have the “Magic Carpet Ride” experience that’s dubbed to be as smooth as silk. Along with this technology, plus a high comfort chassis with air suspension, riding the Phantom will give you an effortless and smooth riding experience.

The Phantom VIII’s interior is truly impressive and designed by Giles Taylor, with the theme, “The Embrace,” which focuses on calmness and tranquility. Aside from the state-of-the-art luxury architecture like every other Rolls Royce car has, the Phantom also features 130kg of sound insulation, creating a new level of near-silence – giving you exceptional relaxation as you traverse the urban jungles of your metropolitan city.

Bonus features include “The Gallery,” which is a centerpiece that allows owners to customize their entire dashboard. Hardened glass spans the entire length, where you can place traditional art media, or your own personal memorabilia, or you can even collaborate with an artist or designer, who will then work with Rolls Royce to give your Phantom VIII your very own authentic personal touch.

The Phantom VIII comes in both Standard and Extended Wheelbase version, and sports a new 6.7L twin-turbocharged V12 engine. As of date, 12 customers from the Singapore launch had already placed their orders, with the first deliveries expected to arrive by March 2018.
