The 35th Phuket King’s Cup Regatta Sets Sail in Southeast Asia’s Premier Yachting Destination

The Phuket King’s Cup Regatta is an annual prestigious sailing event set against the azure seascape of the Andaman Sea. Known as one of Southeast Asia’s most celebrated international sporting events, the regatta significantly boosts Thailand’s sports tourism. 

The King’s Cup Regatta first took place in Phuket in 1987 to celebrate the 60th birthday of King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Since then, it has evolved into a world-class sailing event, attracting participants and yachting enthusiasts worldwide.

This year’s regatta will be held at Beyond Kata from the 2nd to the 9th of December. It promises five days of thrilling races, vibrant celebrations and festivities, and opportunities for building connections and engaging with Thailand’s sailing community.

Visitors and participants can also expect onshore festivities and cultural performances. Both spectators and sailors are free to immerse in the lively atmosphere and create memories along the Phuket shorelines.
